REMIND EU Dementia Project kicks off in Jaen, Spain.

Last weekend I traveled with my colleagues to the kick-off meeting for our EU project REMIND. In this project, we collaborate with academics and companies from several countries to improve our collective knowledge on reminder technologies for people with dementia and their carers. The hope is that the transfer of knowledge and training over 4 years will improve our ability to create solutions that improve people’s lives.

A lot of my research focus lately has been on assistive technologies for health, and I have a particular interest in serious games, gamification (or gameful design), and VR/AR healthy solutions. So I was very interested when I came across this interesting video on Eurogamer this weekend. As well as using VR for stroke rehabilitation I am also interested in looking at the possibilities for using VR with people affected by MS.
